Pupil Premium

What is it and what does it mean for you?

The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is additional funding for schools, with the aim of raising the attainment of disadvantaged  pupils and closing the gaps between them and thier peers.

How is the funding allocated?

Pupils are eligable for Pupil Premium Funding if:

  • They are registered eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years
  • Looked after pupils- pupils who have been in the care of the local authority for one day or more
  • They have left local authority care  as a result of adoption, a special guardianship order or a child arrangement order
Funding allcoations will be made using the data about pupils recorded on the January census. Our school must publish its Pupil Premuim Strategy on our website outlining how we spend the money, why we spend it in this way and the impact it is having.

What should the Pupil Premium Grant be spent on?

The grant will be spent in a variety of ways which will have an impact on the children's attainment in school.  This is specifically outlined in our Pupil Premium Strategy.
